As a teacher, Lewis is committed to a progressive pedagogy that is participant centred, and he always aims to create an inclusive, supportive, and focused learning environment where creativity and playfulness can thrive.

Originally from Devon, Lewis began his movement journey as a young teenager upon discovering breaking and capoeira. Both of which continue to inform his practice to this day.

Aged 18, Lewis pursued more formal dance training at London Contemporary Dance School. Since graduating in 2009, he has worked as a performer with various choreographers, companies, and organisations including Jean Abreu, Richard Alston, Bregenzer Festspiele, Tom Dale, Stephanie Dufresne, The National Theatre, Matthew Bourne's New Adventures, The Royal Opera House, Scottish Dance Theatre, and TrashDollys. Lewis has been teaching since 2014, and specialises in contact improvisation, movement games, conditioning, floorwork and microbatics. His teaching credits include Agitart Figueres Es Mou, DV8 Physical Theatre, National Dance Company Wales and Scottish Dance Theatre.

He regularly teaches at B12 Berlin, London Contemporary Dance School, and Nuova Officina della Danza. Additionally, Lewis has been a returning teacher on degree programmes at London Studio Centre, Middlesex University, Rambert School, and University of Limerick.

DAN

Zivatovic

Movement practice should be accessible to everyone.”

I'm a London-based movement coach and physiotherapist, with more than 16 years' experience.

My movement journey started unusually late in life, so I get the challenges of developing effective mobility and strength from scratch.
I was initially motivated by health concerns and vanity, then progressed to collecting skills. Eventually, it all turned into something bigger and life-changing.

I love teaching strength, mobility and hand-balancing. Of course, I practise them regularly too, alongside occasional dance improv and more recently, bouldering.

Initially, I always trained alone, but after leaving Croatia (my home country) for London, I started to crave community. I became a member of London Movement Group and never looked back. Our goal is to create a safe and welcoming space for anyone to join and grow.

WIL

BROWN

“To me a personal practice should give more than it takes.“

Since leaving the world of team sports I have been practising and studying in many places (such as the German Sports School) and with many people (notably Marcello Palozzo and Tom Weksler). The work has included Handbalancing, Gymnastic Strength Training, Olympic Lifting, Acrobatics/Microbatics, Climbing/Bouldering, Dance, Parkour and many things in between.

My joy lies in learning. In being exposed to new and inspiring individuals and disciplines. In breaking down and working on my weaknesses. My practice is my own, but it is not alone.

I see my work as an attempt at providing this to my students. A personal practice, an embodied learning experience driven by their own motives and guided by my experience and ideas.
